Warnings

What are they?

I include warnings in the beginning of all reviews, along with the genre and rating; just as knowing the genre or age-rating can give people an idea of whether they want to watch a film, knowing that certain content can be a good or deal-breaking sign.

I try to include potentially triggering, disturbing or unenjoyable content.

Why do you include them?

Some sites warn for content that parents do not want their children to see; sexuality, drinking, swearing, etc, things that might not be listed in rating's explanation. Likewise, I feel it's important to warn for things that people might not want to see in their entertainment that aren't listed in rating's explanations. It can be hard to find details of the levels of gore, inclusion of sexual assault and violence, or discriminatory content.

Everybody deserves to enjoy films, so I include these warnings so people can go into the film knowing what might otherwise throw them.

Can you tag them, and make them searchable?
No, I know that people with phobias and trauma sometimes seek out triggering material to harm themselves when they are stressed and I don't want people to use my reviews to seek out upsetting content.
